Coupure

The Coupure is a historic waterway between Ghent and Bruges. In the 18th and 19th centuries, this canal was a busy trade route that connected Ghent with Bruges. At the end of the 19th century, the Coupure acquired a more residential character, characterised by the beautiful mansions and the plane trees.
