Prefer with the bike? No problem. In just 19 minutes cycling you can reach the center of Ghent and enjoy the atmospheric streets, historic buildings, and cozy terraces.

For those who prefer public transport, there is a bus stop just a 2-minute walk from Van der Valk Hotel Ghent. From there you can take line 19 to the Ghent Sint Pieters station, from where you can easily travel further to the historic center. The bus connection between the Ghent Sint Pieters station and our hotel runs from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, you can take the tram from UZ-Ghent to the center. At Van der Valk Hotel Gent, you can park comfortably at the underground (H1) and above-ground (H2) parking with space for 150 cars. Additionally, an extra parking (H3) is available within walking distance.

• general: first half hour is free, thereafter €2.50 per hour with a max. of €20 per day

• hotel guests with overnight stay: €10 per 24 hours

• restaurant guests: first 3 hours are free via QR code, thereafter €2.50 per hour

• meeting & event guests: max. €12.50 per day

• Weleda City Spa guests: first 3 hours are free via QR code, thereafter €2.50 per hour

Van der Valk Hotel Gent always offers easy and affordable parking in Ghent.

In the above-ground parking lot H1 of Van der Valk Hotel Ghent, there are 8 EV charging stations available to charge your electric car at 11kW per hour (no fast chargers). The site adjacent to the hotel has 24 Tesla Fastchargers charging points. With these charging options, you can enjoy your stay without worry.

Payment for charging is done directly via the charging stations by scanning the charge card. We do not use a reservation system for the charging stations. Whether you come for a delicious lunch, a tasteful dinner, a productive meeting, or a relaxing overnight stay, we offer you the opportunity to charge your car while you are with us.
