• A valid ID must be presented for each room at check-in. The main booker of the reservation must be 18 years or older.

• It is not allowed to be present with more people than the number for which the reservation is made. Visitors must identify themselves at the reception.

• A smoking ban applies throughout the hotel and in all rooms. In case of violation, a fine of €250.00 will be imposed.

• Candles in the room are not allowed due to fire safety.

• If you damage the property of Van der Valk, we will hold you liable for the costs.

• Emergency exits may not be used unless an emergency occurs.

• The use and/or trade of narcotics is not allowed. In case of violation, you will be immediately removed from our hotel without a refund.

• Use of laughing gas is not allowed. In case of violation, a fine of €250.00 is imposed.

• Please do not cause any disturbance in and around the hotel with loud music, unruly behavior, or noise of any kind. If this does happen, access to the hotel will be denied and no refund will be available.

• During all circumstances, we respect your privacy, however, we are authorized to enter your room in case of "non-compliance with our house rules."

• Van der Valk Hotel Gent is not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings. If you leave items in the hotel room, it is at your own risk.

• Verbal and/or physical violence is not tolerated.
