At Hotel Gent, we are actively committed to a more sustainable future. Together with Go Forest, we plant trees and reduce our ecological footprint. Since the start of our collaboration in 2022, 6,924 trees have already been planted, and thanks to our hotel guests, this number keeps growing.

What is Go Forest?

Go Forest is a sustainable initiative that focuses on reforestation and ecosystem restoration worldwide. By supporting projects through Go Forest, you not only help plant trees, but also contribute to improving biodiversity, combating climate change, and supporting local communities.

Planting trees in Tanzania & Madagascar

Project Hotel Gent

Since the start of our collaboration with Go Forest in 2022, thanks to Hotel Gent and our hotel guests, 6,924 trees have already been planted in Tanzania and Madagascar. With this, we support projects on agroforestry and mangrove restoration, which contribute to nature restoration and local communities. Together we continue to plant trees and build a greener, more sustainable future.

It's easy to contribute to these green initiatives during your stay at Hotel Gent:

Individual guests: When booking or checking in, you can indicate that you want to contribute to Go Forest. We take care of everything so that your contribution goes directly to the projects.
Groups and corporate events: For group bookings, it is also possible to participate in Go Forest. Additionally, groups receive an official certificate of participation, allowing you to show your sustainable contribution to your team or guests. Request this from our sales colleague, and we will arrange this for you.
