Oude Houtlei
Meeting room
Meet or Host an Event in the Oude Houtlei Room at Van der Valk Hotel Ghent
The Oude Houtlei was originally a canal, dug in 1898-1899, and is now a street in Ghent. In the city, many canals are referred to as "Lei," named after the Leie River. The Oude Houtlei was constructed as the western defensive boundary of the city, and many monastery buildings were built along the canal. Today, parts of the old city walls can still be seen throughout Ghent.
In the Oude Houtlei Room at Van der Valk Hotel Ghent, you can host meetings or events in a space that reflects the rich history of this former defensive canal. The room is equipped with modern amenities.
